The unusual name of this town comes from its ancient Jewish links
to the rag trade. Marazion is the gateway to the popular St Michaels
Mount which can be reached by boat, or foot if the tide is out.
Spectacular views of the bay can be seen from the castle at the
summit of the mount. The castle itself was once a Benedictine Priory
built around 1044. |
